• Please be advised that Mountain High Organics, Inc., has no intention of knowingly purchasing any raw material that has or come in contact with chemicals listed under California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. While we do not test our products for every chemical on the California Proposition 65 list, we do not add any of these chemicals in the manufacture of our products. Chemicals are prohibited in organic food production.
• Proposition 65 is warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals in the products they purchase that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm to make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals.
• Proposition 65 became law in November 1986, when California voters approved it by a 63-37 percent margin. The official name of Proposition 65 is the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.
• Proposition 65 list contains a wide range of chemicals that are naturally occurring at the food ingredient from the soil and synthetic chemicals that include additives or ingredients in pesticides, common household products, food, drugs, dyes, or solvents.

• Glyphosate is a widely used synthetic herbicide by conventional farmers that can kill certain weeds and grasses and also used as desiccant. Glyphosate works by blocking an enzyme essential for plant growth. The product is used primarily in agriculture, but also in forestry and lawn and garden care.
• Please be advised that Mountain High Organics, Inc., has no intention of knowingly purchasing any raw material that has been treat or sprayed by Glyphosate, all our farmers are organic certified. Organic farmers are NOT allowed to use prohibited nor synthetic pesticides and herbicides. We do not add any chemicals in the manufacture of our products. Chemicals are prohibited in organic food production.

In MHO we strive to follow the up-to-date food safety standards and comply with the new FSMA regulations:

• MHO and its processing facility are organic certified through an accredited Third-Party Certification Agency.
• Our processing facility is certified and audited for Food Safety Certificate through an accredited Third-Party Certification Agency.
• Our processing facility follow the current GMP and HACCP protocol by a qualified PCQI individual.
• As an importer we developed our own FSVP plan (Foreign Supplier Verification Programs) to verify each shipment for compliance and fraud.
• According to FSMA Proposed Rule, we use only accredited laboratories for testing and verification.
• We developed a food defense plan to protect our food products against Intentional Adulteration.
• In MHO we always verify sanitary transportation of our food products.

• What is Not-Ready-To-Eat products? It is raw food ingredients that needs to be further processed or cooked before consumption.
• Can I eat Not-Ready-To-Eat products before cooking? No, you can’t eat them before further processing or cooking because these are raw food ingredients may contain bacteria or fungus from the field level which may be harmful to the human being and need further processing or cooking.
• Does MHO provide Not-Ready-To-Eat products? Yes, all our products are Not-Ready-To-Eat products except the items which are pasteurized, and in this case, it is considered Ready-To-Eat products and our labels will reflect that.
• How could I know from MHO label? There are 2 types of labels:
  • If it is Ready-To-Eat product so the label will say it is pasteurized.
  • If it is Not-Ready-To-Eat product, then the label will have the following warning: “This food ingredient is derived from a raw agricultural product and has not been subjected to a microbiological kill step. Therefore, this food ingredient is not ready to eat and requires further processing (cooking) to control for microbial pathogens.”
