Our Story

Mountain High Organics, Inc. was founded in 1999 and specializes in the sourcing, procurement, and packaging of a growing array of Certified Organic raw ingredients from both domestic and international markets. Our “Farm Delivered” business model succeeds because of our carefully selected network of independent farmers who are part of the Mountain High Organic family. Each of these farms still have a personal connection to their crops and understand that healthy foods can only come from soil free of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. This network gives Mountain High Organics the ability to supply its customers with authentic, traceable, and sustainable “Farmed Delivered” certified organic raw ingredients for the wholesale, foodservice and retail markets. Our organic portfolio of ingredients offers our employees, customers, and consumers everywhere the chance to enjoy healthy and nutritious food offerings to flourish in today’s busy world.

We believe our story at Mountain High Organics still has more to be written. Every day God inspires us with new purposes. Mountain High Organics understands that our farmer relationships are an integral part of our business. To us, our farmers are part of our family. They should be respected. Listen to, and more importantly, be paid a fair price for their hard work. We welcome farmers from all walks of life and try to make a difference by giving them the ability to expand their markets beyond their own capabilities, providing them with income security. Like us, our farmers believe strongly in farming God’s way by putting him in the center of the way they view and practice agriculture. They understand that farming requires their patience, spiritual belief and faith in God to deliver them a bountiful harvest.

Doing Our Part / Regenerative Agriculture

Healthy food comes from healthy soil. Unfortunately, most soil today is far from healthy, thanks to years of industrial farming methods that pushed Mother Earth too far. It has been over-tilled, over-fertilized, exposed, and treated with chemically based fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides. How could healthy food ever grow in soil like that?

At Mountain High Organics our commitment to Regenerative Agriculture is reflected in our collaboration with our growers investing in eco-friendly agriculture. We cannot continue to abuse our soil, nor can we simply sustain unhealthy land. We must revive and restore it, and we can through Regenerative Agriculture.

We advise and work with our growers focusing on building healthy soil which is the foundation of healthy water and reducing soil erosion. Regenerative Agriculture focuses on soil health, water conservation, biodiversity and carbon sequestration making for a richer plant, bird and insect populations. Regenerative Agriculture reduces fossil fuel inputs and chemical inputs in favor of natural cycles and ecological processes. This further enriches the soil and the products grown on it, and positively contributes to a healthier ecosystem and contributes to combating climate change.

Mountain High Organics believes with Regenerative Agriculture we can literally regenerate the land by rebuilding our soil, leaving it far better off for future generations to come.

Our Facilities

Mountain High Organics has distribution facilities strategically located throughout the United States to efficiently serve our customers on a national and global stage.

Our 28,000 square foot cold storage distribution center in located in our hometown of New Milford, Connecticut. This state-of-the-art cold storage unit is kept at precisely 42 Degrees Fahrenheit; to allow for optimal storing temperature. The new “Organic Certified” distribution center is part of our supply chain optimization strategy to better serve our clients and to safeguard our raw ingredients in an environmentally controlled distribution center.
